New outlet pipes into Öresund
In connection with the development and reconstruction of the Sjölunda wastewater treatment plant, two new outlet pipes will be constructed out in the Öresund.

Length: 4 000 metres
Internal diameter: 1,8 metres
The new outlet pipes will be laid on the seabed from the shoreline by the new outflow pumping station and about four kilometres out into the Öresund. For the first two kilometres out to sea, the outlet pipes are planned to be laid in a dredged channel owing to hydraulic requirements and water depth. For the outer two kilometres, the outlet pipes will be laid on the seabed and are planned to be secured with steel piles.
The construction of the new outlet pipes will also include work on emergency sewers and erosion protection.
