Function Risk

”We ask the question: what can go wrong - and then work to prevent it from actually happening.”

Risk management is a valuable tool for managing large projects, and function Risk's mission is to support the programme in this. This means constantly further developing the work, providing systems, training the organisation, and taking primary responsibility for the organisation working actively with risk management.

─ It is easy to end up mostly solving problems for the day, but taking time for strategic and long-term risk management work means you will have significantly fewer problems later on. The key question is: what can go wrong, based on both experience and risk models – and then work proactively to prevent it from happening, says Christian Johnsson.

A central role in the organisation

On a daily basis, it involves working closely with the projects, other functions and the management to systematically go through sub-processes, asking the right questions with the aim of clarifying, summarizing and managing risks.

─ It is stimulating to have a central role and to be involved in all parts and at all levels of an organisation. Personally, I also think it's a lot of fun to work in such large projects. If you're interested in infrastructure, it's exciting to be where it's happening, and to be involved and contribute to something that makes a difference to people.
